This photo, part of a series about the experience of depression and anxiety, was shared on Facebook and the Huffington Post and let people talk about their own mental health experiences in a viral and connected setting.  It, similar to Twist Out Cancer, allowed people who were on Facebook to comment and share to show solidarity for each other, as one of the hardest parts of depression/anxiety is the feeling of isolation and loneliness.  This photo series opened discussion and helped fight that loneliness.

Movements can find their beginnings or support on online spaces, especially movements that deal with the language of virtual spaces.  This photograph, part of a series by Liora K called "The Feminist Photos," tackles the abortion debate through visual image.  Other photos in the series cover birth control, equal pay, rape, and the spectrum of gender/sexuality.  "In March of 2012, when I started witnessing all the attacks on birth control, abortion rights, equal pay, and retractions of protections for survivors of domestic violence, I wanted to see an artistic response." - Liora K.

Rory Banwell's "Still Not Asking For It" series is similar to Liora K's.  The series was made to "help stop the propagation of rape culture and sexual violence."  The series went viral on facebook in 2016 and was covered by over 9 news outlets.  Thinking ahead, Banwell plans on bringing the project to different parts of the world and utilizing the global aspect of internet and technology.
